Helping Students Find Their Voice in the College Application Process

For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked in education, guiding students to become stronger thinkers and writers. Since 2019, I’ve partnered with the writing labs of dozens of colleges, supporting students as they navigated one of the most important challenges of their academic journey: telling their story with confidence.

Through that work, I saw the same pattern again and again. Bright, capable students were held back not by ability, but by uncertainty: What do I write about? How do I stand out? How do I make this essay sound like me? That’s why I built College Essays Coach — to provide a structured, supportive system that helps every student move from blank page to polished essay.
